About Me - Claire Bolgil
The Travel Writer... I still can't quite believe that I'm finally doing something that I've wanted to do pretty much all my life - writing about amazing places all over the world!
I have my wonderful mum and dad to thank for instilling a love for travel in me at an early age. They took myself and my brother to many great places and I've tried to continue that tradition to this day, by seeking out new and exciting destinations.
Although born and raised in England, it was inevitable that I wouldn't call that country my home forever, and in May 2007 myself and my husband, Müfit (of Turkish descent!), took the plunge and emigrated to Canada. It seems so easy to write great copy when you're surrounded in the natural beauty of interior B.C.!
I've visited many places, but I'm still trying to get around to visiting many more. Personal experience allows me to write about those places I have been to, whilst meticulous research skills allow me to write about those places I haven't yet been to.
My writing experience to date has been mainly copy for travel website content, though over the past several years I've also been sharing our emigration story with readers of a UK based monthly newspaper, Emigrate Canada (see my Portfolio for further details).
My work ethos is simple: I work hard to ensure that all my deadlines are met and that the writing I submit is perfect in every way possible.
